Dear Racers,
The following are the Official Results from the BBORR 2002. As our rules call for we have disqualified, and not counted in the results the following: one (1) driver for Rule Part I, 16, H in Super Sport (+/-10 mph over target), nine (9) drivers for Rule Part I, 16, D (Tech Speed - not by a little, but unfortunately a lot) in GS, GT and Touring. Also one Novice Driver was disqualified for missing the Driver's Meeting, Part I, 10, B.
We would like to apologize for the length of time it took us to gather the results and the fact that we didn't have all the information at the Awards Banquet. Also, we don't have the car types listed correctly - Chev instead of Corvette or Camaro, etc., which we will fix the next time ( it requires a change in our database). These things happen in a new organization.
While we acknowledge the difficulty of the day and conditions, the race was never the less a short one and the number of drivers greatly exceeding their tech speed was surprising and very disheartening. The rules are written for everyone's safety and it is up to each entrant to meet these standards.
